Homie App Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

Homie is provided by George On A Monday LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes how information is handled when you use the Homie app, submit the contact form on househomie.com, or contact us for related support. Homie is offered to users in the United States.

For privacy questions, email contact@househomie.com.

01 / Information you save in Homie

Homie stores your saved homes, checklist preferences and answers, visit notes, dates, selected photos, Review completion, and editable Pros & Cons on your device. You do not need to create a Homie account to use the app. Homie does not provide account-based cloud sync or a Homie cloud-backup service for these records.

You can delete homes and photos using the app’s controls. Your operating system’s backup and restore settings may separately affect copies of app data. Restoring a purchase restores eligible Pro access; it does not retrieve your saved homes, notes, or photos from a Homie server.

02 / Purchases

Apple processes purchases made through the iOS App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase verification and Homie Pro access. Purchase processing involves an app customer identifier, product and subscription information, transaction information, entitlement status, and technical app/device information. Homie does not require you to create an account and does not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.

RevenueCat assigns an app customer identifier without requiring a Homie account. That identifier is not the same as being anonymous to every service. Apple’s and RevenueCat’s policies also describe how those services handle information.

03 / Usage analytics and diagnostics

Optional usage analytics and limited diagnostics help us understand which features are useful and improve reliability. When this option is available, sharing is off unless you explicitly choose to enable it. You can decline during setup and use Homie normally. Your choice is saved on your device. You can change it in Settings → Privacy & analytics → Share usage & diagnostics.

If you enable sharing, Homie sends PostHog a limited set of app actions, such as saving a home, completing a visit, comparing homes, completing Review, adding photos, or opening Pro options. Details are limited to counts, fixed categories and statuses, and whether Pro access is active. The data also includes generated identifiers, event and session times, app and operating-system versions, device manufacturer/model/type, language/locale, and SDK information. Diagnostic data is limited to predefined startup and error categories and counts. We do not send raw error messages or stack traces through this optional sharing feature.

Addresses, notes, photos, checklist answers, home prices, scores, receipts, transaction identifiers, and other free-text content are excluded from these analytics payloads. This optional sharing does not record your screen, automatically capture screens or touches, or automatically send console output or crash reports. It does not use advertising identifiers or link this activity to a RevenueCat customer identifier. Generated analytics identifiers change when the app process restarts or you turn sharing off and on again. Generated identifiers can associate records within that period; this is not a promise of anonymity.

We configure PostHog to discard IP addresses from stored app events and not derive location from them. Network services still receive connection information when handling requests; these settings do not mean that an IP address never reaches any provider’s infrastructure or operational logs.

Turning sharing off stops new optional collection and discards unsent analytics and diagnostics. Activity from before permission was granted is not saved for later analytics delivery. Turning sharing off does not delete data already sent. If a local preference cannot be saved, Homie keeps sharing off for the current session and explains that the previous saved choice may return after reopening the app.

RevenueCat purchase verification, Pro access, and purchase restoration operate separately from this optional choice. We use RevenueCat’s reporting for subscription information. With optional sharing enabled, the app may report limited paywall, purchase, or restore outcomes to PostHog, such as whether Pro was unlocked. It does not send receipts, transaction identifiers, or detailed purchase records to PostHog.

04 / Address suggestions and directions

When address suggestions are available and you type into an address field, Homie sends the typed query through a Supabase-hosted service to Geoapify to return suggestions. These services receive the query and technical request information. Manual address entry remains available. Homie does not request your device location to provide these suggestions.

Geoapify’s privacy policy describes retaining API request details for usage/security and troubleshooting. Address suggestions are therefore not a promise that the typed query is processed only on your device or immediately erased by every provider. Saving an address manually does not by itself upload your local home record.

When you choose Get directions, Homie sends the destination address to the external maps app or service that opens. That provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.

05 / Photos

When you choose to add photos, Homie uses the system photo picker and copies selected photos into the app’s device storage. Homie does not require access to your photo library at first launch.

06 / Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you send. If you use the contact form on househomie.com, we receive the name, email address, selected topic, and message you submit. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and troubleshoot. Include only information needed to explain the issue.

07 / Why we use information and who receives it

We use information to operate the app, provide purchase access, respond to inquiries and support, understand product use, diagnose faults, and maintain security. Service providers involved in these functions include Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, website form and email service providers, and, for optional address suggestions, Supabase and Geoapify. Website form and email service providers process contact-form submissions to deliver and manage your inquiry. Information you direct to an external maps service is received by that service.

We require third parties with whom Homie shares user data to provide the same or equal protection of that data as described in this policy and required by Apple's App Review Guidelines. Service providers processing information on our behalf must use it for the services they provide to us.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Optional analytics is used to understand how Homie is used and improve the app.

08 / Retention, deletion and your choices

Local home records remain on your device until removed through the app or device controls, subject to any separate device backups. Emailing us does not give us remote access to that local database. For information processed by our service providers, contact us with a privacy request at contact@househomie.com.

We retain optional analytics and diagnostics for as long as needed to understand feature use, improve the app, and investigate technical problems, subject to our service providers' storage and deletion processes. We retain support messages, including emails and website contact-form submissions, as needed to respond to your inquiry and handle related follow-up. Purchase-related information is retained as needed to verify and restore access, prevent fraud, and meet applicable record-keeping requirements. Turning off sharing does not immediately delete records a service has already received.

You can ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, including website contact-form submissions, by emailing contact@househomie.com. We may request the minimum additional information needed to verify and locate the relevant records. We do not receive your local home database through an email request. Because analytics identifiers change and are not tied to an account or email address, we may be unable to identify older analytics records as yours. We will explain what we can locate and what action can be taken.

Deleting a home, turning off analytics, deleting a billing record, and cancelling an Apple subscription are different actions. A deletion request does not by itself cancel a subscription or erase Apple's transaction records. We assess billing-related requests separately so that purchase access, restoration, fraud prevention, and applicable record-keeping requirements are considered before changes are made.

09 / Security

We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to operating Homie and its service integrations. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

10 / Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request a new choice before applying a change.
